A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mac....I can recall when The Trentonian started. I believe it was while the Trenton Times was on strike., proably in the 30s. They had a terrific sports section and Joe Logue was one of the guys that covered sports, That Grecco item and The Trentonian Doubles Bowling Tournament were just two of the many events they featured. We had the Hamilton Bowling Lanes at that time and had the opportunity to participate. That was a nice jesture of Lou Grecco to congradulate these worthy people. Best Regards.
Hi Ralph:)
I agree the Trentonian had a very
good sports section and it was
nice of Lou to pat folks on the back with his little congrats things:))

The Trentonian started in 1946. The Times printers were on strike.
That's what started the Trentonian.
Every Friday morning that ad was in the sports pages. Great paper for sports in Trenton. When did Crecco's close and what reason, I enjoy eating there, Roe' Aunt Angie was the salad maker.
