Ashmore Avenue on a Autumn Morning, The Burg
Oh its just curbs and streets and semi-detached homes
and row homes and occasional single homes and porches
and cars and streetlights and electrical wires and trees
....and grandma's sweeping and old men talking baseball
on lawnchairs in front of the house with cigars and
bean bag ashtrays...its just hearing Dean or Frank thru
a screen door as you pass by...or smelling delicious food
being made as you continue to pass by.. its just a little
part of the world we called home:)
