Hi Again. Hope I can give more Stuff. Topics: Quoits,
Shops, Trolleys. Long Story. SE cor. Stanton/Broad. Pat's diner,
(? created from old trolley car? Trolley turned into Stanton E
from Broad. Conductor moves equipment from front to rear including
wiring to overhead wires. Not sure, but I think it went to White
Horse Circle near Gropp's auto shop. Maybe further to Gropp's Lake,
down the hill. ...Swimming Hole with diving board. Fishing.
Forgot about Lalor St., Skating rink Bldg. or near it; Trolley
Servicing. One for the books. Pop was parked in front of 1127 S.
Clinton Av., (driver side at curb) talking with friend. Trolley
jumps tracks, lands on Pop's driver side of the car and crushes it.
Pop gets pieces of cracked glass in his ear. Hardly any injury.
Today's Standards. SUE, SUE, SUE. Track installers. Conductor.
Trenton Transit. NO NO NO. T. T. replaced car, and conductor
apologized. A neighbor who may have been working another shift,
Fred Busch, Sr. came over and informed Mom and let her know he
was okay. Got home pretty late, though.
Near Franklin School. Dietrick's Bakery. Made cupcakes the shape
of an upside-down Hershey Kiss, with flavored icing on top.
Two candy stores: Garret's, William & Dayton, near Bakery;
(5AM I remembered name, at a loss now.) Cor. William&Liberty.
Penny for some, and some more for a penny. 5 cents would have
been a small bag full. Quoits: Chambers&East Brown.
(curved at F. Park.) Quoit Diamond with squares, hubs, 2 for each
player with indentations. Singles or Doubles. Ringer or leaner.
Fingers measure to hub. Next to Service Garage. Tournaments.
I think there was diamonds in Villa Pk. near Tennis Courts.
Not sure, but I was told the quoits were washers from R. R.
Sharpened. When I'm awake and remember other candy store,
I'll let you know. You're right : Nick Krupa was the boat
builder. Good Night. John

Wow John:)
Again this is great.
Max Garret had a Deli at Woodland and Liberty in my Burg
Day.. it became J&M Deli.
