A Typical Burg Home

A Typical Burg home had Living Room/Dining Room/Kitchen on the
first floor and 2 or 3 Bedrooms and a Bath on the second floor.
It had a finishable Attic and a Full Basement. It had a Window Air
Conditioner or a few. It had a Small Yard and often had a Patio.
Folks would grow Tomatos and small gardens. Occasionally a Grape
Vine. The TV Antenna was on the roof and had a Rotor (a device
for turning the Antenna towards Philly or NYC stations).
Often the Washer and Dryer were in the Basement.
Slipcovers were often on the furniture. There was a Calender tacked
to the wall in the Kitchen. There were refrigerator magnets.
Cards at Christmas were often taped to the Bannister.
The Newspaper was often found folded so one could see
someone had been reading the sports section and it was
on the floor by the Big Chair near the TV.. So were Shoes.
Remember?
