DeLorenzo's Tomato Pies, Hudson Street, The Burg
What a beautiful picture of this Burg Legend. I found this
on the internet and did not take it. My fellow Burg area
readers might note as I did by the shadows and light upon
the building that this picture was taken in the morning in
the beginning hours of a new sunny day. I bet many of you
Burg folks far away who have not been in the Burg for years
knew this was morning picture too:)

YOUR OCTOBER PHOTO WAS MUCH BETTER, MACK; FULL LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT WITHOUT THAT MORNING SHADOW.
TOM GLOVER
HI MAC....THAT COLOR OF DeLORENZO'S IS BEAUTIFUL BUT DOES'NT SEEM TO MATCH THE REST OF THE BURG. MOST OF THE BURG'S COLORS ARE MASCULINE AND THAT SHADE OF BLUE IS SISSY LOOKING. THAT'S JUST MY OPION BUT IT REALLY DRESSES UP THAT CORNER. REGARDS.
Hi Tom & Ralph:))
Tom I agree there are better pictures of the place than this.
I was taken away by the allure of
the concept that one could notice
time of day by the shadows in a picture.
Ralph that has been the color of
Delorenzo's as well as Jimmies
Camera Shop when it was there for
as long as I can remember. What color was this place before that?
MAC....I'M GOING BACK TO THE OLDEN DAYS WHEN DeLORENZO'S WAS A BARBER SHOP AND KID EMMONS WAS THE BOSS OF THE BURG. THE MONTERVINO'S, GRAZIANIOS, DERRICO'S , PINTO'S AND MILLACCI WERE ALL TOUGH GUYS AND ALONG WITH MY BROTHER LOU PLAYED ON THE CHAMBERSBURG RED SOX. MOTT STREET WAS HOME BASE OF THE TEAM AND THAT SHADE OF BLUE JUST DID'NT FIT IN. REGARDS.
