Joe Fratto Remembers Musical Life Back in The Day

Joe Fratto Remembers Musical Life Back in The Day

Joe wrote...

Hi Mike......just another note about the good ole days in
Trenton. You most likely are too young to remember this,
but I know your parents and/relatives remember. The music
business was my forte back then. Playing in clubs as a sax
player. The clubs to remember are The Tremont, The Cove,
Jim's Tavern, White Horse Bowling Lanes, The Red Top in
Seaside and many others. Members of my band were;

George Quinty....trempet, Jeryy Rondinelli....drums, Mickey
Fucello...piano,,Italian Charlie...bass. We had a great
group and at times Dave Fisher would fill in on bass.
Just thought this would be nice to publish. I then went
on the road and played Vegas, California and traveled with
a black group out of Texas. They were the best times of my
life. Never, never did we have racial problems. I played
in many, many black clubs in Trenton also.

thanks,
Joe Fratto (Joe Russel was my stage name)
