A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Mack, always bought my caps at Lee's.
HI MAC....LEIGH FRIZZELL'S WAS ONE OF THE BETTER MEN'S SHOP CLOSE TO THE BURG. IN THAT AREA THERE WERE MANY SMALL SHOPS THAT COULD COMPETE WITH THOSE DOWN TOWN. SO. BROAD AND SO. CLINTON WERE LIKE DOWN TOWN TO PEOPLE OF CHAMBERSBURG. REGARDS.
Hi JoeZ & Ralph:)
Thank you for your comments on this place. It was before my time so I am glad you remembered it:)
Brings back great memories of our "hangout" corner in front of Sanders....I lived at 607 Beatty St and could look all the way up Beatty and see the corner of S Broad & Beatty...I'm glad I still have that memory of my street...this pic is disgusting! The area looks like a ghetto. I'd rather see Weinberg's than the empty lot across the street..and the many trees that lined the block in front of Winowicz's all the way to the A&P. At least the steeple of St Stan's is still intact!
