The Ladies of Circle F, 1939
The Ladies of Circle F, 1939
The Circle F Factory at 720 Monmouth Street in East Trenton
was within a one minute walk to the Burg.
Many Burg folks either worked at Circle F or had family and
friends who did so at one time:)
Do any of you good folks recognize any of the Ladies in
these nice pictures?
Thank you so much for this Elizabeth:)

Circle F was right behind our house. Growing up we used to play baseball in the parking lot. I remember the machines running nearly all the time. As a young boy, there were several women working there, that I had crushes on.
I worked there for a year during one recession and begged for a job. Lugging deliveries factory to factory and up and down steps, Monmouth to Prince to Mead Streets was not the most pleasant work, but, it was a job.
Over to see "Storky" for a pack and a sandwich and on pay day we went to a place next door .... the name escapes me ... for a nice sit down lunch.
My brother in law had the Tyler Market behind the factory.
Lots of accidents and injured fingers with those punch presses for the switches and toggles. My other job was to take the injured "gals" to the NJ Manufacturers Clinic on Princeton Avenue to get them patched up.

Choquette's Grill ... for the sit down lunch. On Hamilton over by Storky's.
Hey, it takes me awhile .. and there was no offense taken the other day. Think of how red faced I was. In my early 60's and never been to Wetzel?

Circle F was behind our house, too. We learned to ride bikes and roller skate in the parking lot...I remember watching all of the ladies leaving at the end of the day while we were playing in our backyard.
My Dad grew up on Hamilton Ave, next door to Doctor Vento. The circle F factory was right behind there house. He worked at Storky's as kid, stocking shelves. His Aunt and Uncle owned the Kent Street Cafe. I have fond memories of going back there as a kid.
