There was a book written around 1980 called Chambersburg
An Italian-American Community At Bay or words close to that.
I can tell you and I have talked to my Burg friends about
this..we younger Burg folks did not feel at all like we were
a community "at bay". To us it had always been like this and
would always remain so. The Burg remained the same until the
middle to late 1990s. But in the 1980s we thought it would
