206 South Broad Street, South Trenton

206 South Broad Street, South Trenton
This postcard is from 1911 but my records show that
in 1957 this was still the same store with the same
owner. This was The Herman Sackin Furniture Company:)

Judy and I bought our first home furnishings from Herman Sackin. We didn't finance the furniture, just paying him by the month. If we were a bit short, he would let us send in "as much as we can afford." Our living room suite was a set of rock maple furniture including a sofa, chair, hassock, and end tables. They lasted for 45 of our 56 year marriage. They don't build 'em like that any more!

My folks also bought furniture from Sackin, and with the same pay arrangements, he was a great guy..

will remember if they were before
my Burg day:)
