Genesee and Hudson.

There used to be a lot of great car crashes on this corner -- don't know why! We kids all ran to watch after we heard the loud crash.

At this point on Genesee (and at the opposite end of the block at Roebling Ave) the street was blocked off by a rope and a red flag. During school days the street served as a playground for the kids from St Stephens School.

The white building on the left -- all boarded over -- is the former Istvan Parichy's Bar. Ernie Kovac's Mom and Dad ran the business in the 50s and early 60s.

Patsy Pone's old place is on the right side, after the parking lot, near Roebling.

The parking lotwas created back in the 60s when two houses were torn down. One was owned by the Zazzo family, good friends.

Hi SJ:)
I see a Joseph & Mary Zazzo
at 221 Genesee in the 50s.
It says he was a salesman for
Parkside Motors at that time.
They used to rope off Arch Street
for us when I went to Holy Cross
for 2 years:)

Eddie, Joe Jr. and I used to to watch the original Bandstand with Bob Horn in the Zazzo house after school.
