A Rossiburger !!!
Rossi's at 501 Morris Avenue still makes them as great
as ever. You Know in Heaven they serve Rossiburgers,
Casino Italian Hot Dogs, Triangle Ice Cream, Kramers
Bagels, and Cannoli's from Italian Peoples Bakery.
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Kramer's bagels- is this the old bakery off Lambert St. near the river. The owner George Kramer died back in the late 60's. He had a son , but I don't think he was interested in tne business.
This bakery had the best bagels, rye and hard rolls I've ever had.
Also George Kramer was known as "THE BAGEL KING OF TRENTON".
George and shared more than one drink together at Choquette's on corner of Franklin and Hamilton Ave. His son is a prominent politician here in Mercer County and did not have interest in the business. His grandson Dave however ran the business out of corner of Hudson and Tyler Sts. for many years before moving the shop to King's Mall (the old Trenton Fairgrounds location}. He has since sold the business. His other grandson Steve was a student of mine and is great jazz pianist.
Tom,
George and Marie Kramer were very close friends of my Mom & Pop.I remember being at their home on Greenwood Ave all the time. I also think there was a daughter (Sandy).
When visiting, I'd leave the adulds and go across the street to the Greenwood theater for a movie , then around the corner to Maruca's for a tomato pie
Bob,
Those were the days my friend!
Tom,
Say Amen
Amen... Had to be the BURGER that broke 60,000 views!
How fortunate we all are to have had these and the memories they conjure.
I will be visiting Trenton from Florida in October and plan on being at Rossi's on the 15th or
16th for dinner, probably on the 16th
