Roebling Avenue Under The Summer Sky, The Burg.
The Burg posed well for this. Its a new picture
taken a few days ago:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mack: That looks like the corner of Roebling and Chestnut Aves. To me,the restaurant on the corner is Trionfetti's. During my Burg days, it was the best and I'll always call it Trionfetti's. But there again the lack of parking hurt the business. In those days thank God for the $1.00 weekly bus passes. For one buck you could ride all over the county and not worry about parking. When you think about it I believe they were much happier days. Regards, Ralph
Hi Ralph:)
Yes this is Roebling & Chestnut:)
There was a time when I was young
when the buses were FREE.
Some sort of experiment to try to
increase use of public transit.
The system was Mercer Metro then.
We took the bus all over...to
Princeton to Quakerbridge Mall to
Independence Mall, it was cool:)
