A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mack: Lou Tammaro was a friend going back to the bowling days. I'm not sure if he was involved with the store on Mott St. Tammaro's was big in the banana business with a store on So. Clinton and also on Butler. Lou sponsored many bowling teams of young bowlers in the major and handicap leagues. Reggards, Ralph
Man! This picture speaks volumes... It's hard to imagine this was once a thriving business. Maybe it's the rainy day or something, but it's a sad picture...
Hi Ralph & Noel:)
Yes Tommaro also had a place on
Whittaker at one time and in my
Burg day a place near Triangle
Ice Cream.
It was a rainy day when I took this
picture but I also note this
cool ole building could use some
"love".
Hi Mack,
Angelo Tammaro had the stores on Whittaker Ave at Morris, next to Massa's in the 60's (my childhood corner) and Division and Cummings across the street from the Triangle in the 70's-80's (my adult corner)
Remember when it was Ike's lunchonette?
