1037 South Clinton Avenue, The Burg
Once upon a time this was Red Man's Hall & Building
according to my records. You can still see a sign
in this picture that says "Unca's Tribe No. 102"
Improved Order of Red Men.
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hey Mack:
My father and his buddy, Stan Kuklienski were card carrying members of the Uncas back in the mid to late 1940's forget the tribe number. Every time I think of these lodges, I think of Jackie Gleason and Art Carney and their "Racoons;" hats and all!

Hi Mack: I recall Redman's Hall as a place that held many dance nights in the Burg. I did'nt learn to dance until after I was married but met my wife while we watched the dancers at the carnivals held by Holy Angels and the many volunteer fire companies in Broad Street Park.
