1375 South Clinton Avenue, The Burg. The Corner of South
Clinton Avenue and Liberty Street, a very busy place.
This is a new picture of this I took yesterday. Another one of
those interesting Burg buildings:)
This was Priors Donuts , then a Funeral Home, then Tina's
Hair Dresser.

I (AND COUNTLESS OTHER AREA "OLD TIMERS" can still smell the
delightful heady aroma of Prior's cream sticks and other donuts
being baked in that great old building. One of the nicest parts
of that long walk to the Broad or Bijou theater was in passing by
that place. By the way, Eet Gud Bakery now carries on the Prior's
"Cream Stick" tradition with EXACTLY the same recipe I remember.
DELIGHTFUL, and one of the reasons for my expanding waistline!
Thank You Tom:)
Note to readers: Tom has a bunch of cool items on Eet Gud Bakery
and Prior's Donuts on his magnificent site.. its on my bloglist.

Hi Tom:)
I will add this to the post:)
I love the stuff on your site about the Eet Gud Bakery and
Priors.. I saw an ad you had for
Priors that said it was open until
Midnight on Saturdays:)
I recall walking to Priors almost every Saturday afternoon to buy my favorite donuts, the twisted ones rolled in granulated sugar, they would still be warm and I would eat 2 or 3 on the walk back home..
Tom,
Mack, here knows all about those great Prior's donuts, since I brought them home all the time and he, his brothers and sisters "Inhaled them" There were times I stopped there every other day. Course Dad and Mom loved then too.
