Took lots of trips there around the holidays to get lekvar and apricot for the holiday cookies.
This place was like a Mecca for the Trenton and surrounding area bakers... there were times around the holidays when you had to stand in line outside the store waiting to get in... I LOVED the aroma when you walked in the door.. that mixture of sweet, pungent and heaven...

Been in the family for years. Now owned/operated by Helen Hovan, who went through Harrison School on up.
Good fragrant poppy seeds, excellent lekvars. Wonderful spices.
Not many places like this -- ANYWHERE!
