A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

We ate there a couple of times. The food is really good.

I love the food at Malaga too
and the service was good too:)
Still our favorite restaurant..the only good one left in Trenton. Amici's isn't bad, but Italian restaurants in the Burg now have Guatamalan cooks, so everything tsstes different.
Well of course everything tastes different, they don't know how to cook real Italian food. Makes me sad. I think Malaga's is a Portugese Rest.

Anonymous..yes it is Portugese, with a little Castilian Spanish thrown in. They give you personal service...like back in the day, in the Burg.
If it ain't owned by, run by, food cooked by, and all employees part of the family...then it is not Italian, no way, no how! Youse can put a little gravy on a Taco, but it is still a Taco (yuk!).
Sax..Believe it or not, you have to go to Bordentown City to get Italian Food, cooked by Italians, Family owned...I know, the world as we knew it is over!
It sure is Barb, that's why I cook my own Italian food. Can't get good Italian food in SC.

We love going into Boston's North End...it is still an Italino neighborhood...loads of authentic Italian restaurants, pastry shops...guys hangin' on the streets..cars/limos double parked..old men sittin on benches smokin' stogies and eyeing the ladies...Italian spoken fluently all over the place..4 different Feasts during the year..clean streets...warm feeling..like the 'Burg used to be. Take a trip sometime...it is worth it.
