Mastori's Bordentown NJ

Even with all of the great food in the Burg, some area
restaurants are local legends. Mastori's in Bordentown is
one of them. My fave there is the Reuben Sandwich:)

Oh yes, great Mastori's memories...falling out of Jim's Tavern and into Mastori's or The Country Diner.

How about the Town & Country Diner. My friends and I spent many nights or I should say mornings at Mastoris, Town & Country, Golden Dawn and Pat's after the bars closed.

Mastoris, T & C, Pats , and
Golden Dawn were the places:)

I am pretty sure all of them
are still open all night except
Golden Dawn.

Golden Dawn is about 2 minutes
from where I live now in Mercerville:)

They still have the cartoons
someone draws at the register
at Golden Dawn:)
Golden Dawns folks are still
pretty good at handling a rush.
And their food is as good as
ever:)

Those cakes at the front
entrance of Mastoris? Yes
They still have em !!

You guys are making me hungry haven't seen the inside of a diner in ages nor tasted the good food. The closest I get to a diner here is watching Diners, Drive-In's and Dives on the Food Channel. So such animal here in Central Florida.

No diners here in SC. My husband and I miss them.

Used to be Bordentown Bar and Grill, back in the day. Left work in Hightstown at midnight, stopped there to get the largest piece of strawberry short cake ever made and a cup of coffee. Slept like a baby, now I wouldn't sleep for a week.

I hear you. If my husband eats after 9 PM he can't sleep. It's getting old fun. But what's the alternative.

Ah the memories!

Spaghetti and meatballs and a large piece of lemon meringue pie..at about 3:30 am after a gig somewhere. And if we went to Pat's it was Steak,Eggs, homefries, bacon, bagel and then a big piece of lemon meringue pie...didn't need no stinkin' Rolaids back then...oh, I forgot the chocolate milk shakes!

Saxman,

Can't get good lemon meringue pie here, so I make my own, crust and all. It's really good. My Mom taught me well.
