Jules Tavern 267 Cummings Avenue The Burg

Jules Tavern, 267 Cummings Avenue, The Burg. This was
at the corner of Cummings Avenue and Anderson Street.
A Burg site must have this:)

Mike,
If you mentioned Jules Tavern, you gotta mention "Count" Felix's on Anderson. Ask dad.

My friends and I used to spend every Thursday night here in the late '80's/early '90's. We drank draft beers for 25 cents a glass and drank the occasional shot of Wilson's "That's All!" Whiskey for 50 cents. Large pizza with everything on it? $5. Bowling game? A quarter. Karen the barmaid was really nice and pretty easy on the eyes. But best of all was Vic, the owner, who would emerge from his kitchen, a snubnose .38 in one pocket and a half-pint of Peppermint Schnapps in the other. Every once in awhile, he'd have to come out, look the joint over, and if any unwanted rowdiness was observed, he'd issue his binding edict--never contradicted: "Get the fuck out!"

Okey?

Those were good times.
