HI MAC....WHILE VISITING CASANDRINO IN ITALY, MANY PEOPLE THERE ASKED IF I KNEW LANDOLFI. THEY ALL SEEM TO KNOW A GREAT DEAL ABOUT HIM AND MANY OTHERS WHO MIGRATED TO TRENTON. BEST REGARDS.
Yes, Casandrino Italy was Pasquale
Landolfi's home town. He was my
Dad and he came directly to
Chambersburg in 1915 at the
age of 16. My wife, Barbara, and I have taken several trips to
Casandrino to visit the family members still living there. Each
visit was filled with loving hospatility and joy!! Family members in Italy love our success story about how "Landolfi Food Products" was born in Chambersburg
USA!! (Pat) Pasquale J.Landolfi,Jr
Landolfi Food Products was founded in 1959 by myself and my dad. The first product manufactured was "Gnocchi", followed by Ravioli, Cavatelli & Lasagna. The company was located in a small storefront on Roebling Avenue in Chambersburg. As demand for our products grew a new facility was needed and I purchased the "Liberty Theatre" located on Cummings and West Street in Chambersburg and renovated it to become the new manufacturing plant for Landolfi Foods. A full line of Italian Specialties including Manicotti, Cavatelli, Stuffed Shells & Garlic Bread were manufactured. Pat Landolfi, Founder & CEO 1959-1998
Unfortunately, Landolfis was sold in August of 2014. All aspects of the business were moved to Mass. Whoever bought the business from the Landolfis didn't grow the business and finally sold it last year after running it into the ground. It is sad to see only a very small handful of places left in the Chambersburg area.
I worked for pat for a couple of years he was a really good guy
This is a great bloog
