A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC....JUST A FEW WORDS ABOUT FAUSTI'S. THEY WERE ON FRANKLIN STREET FOR QUITE A LONG TIME WHILE WE WERE THERE AND MOVED TO THE CORNER OF REVERE AND ROEBLING WHERE I SPENT MOST OF MY YOUTH. BEST REGARDS TO YOU AND THEM.
Besides owning Villa Park Deli, my grandfather,Gervasio, also worked at Roebling Wire. In his absence, the Deli was run by his wife, Maria, and her children, Johnny, Lucy and Josephine. My mother, Josephine, THS '45, married Charlie Fabiano of Fabian's Gulf and Johnny was part-owner of Fausti and Young Tires on Chambers St. Lucy lived next door to Deli and raised her family there with her husband, Mike Santarsiero, who among other jobs, once made Tomato Pies at Nate's Inn on Lalor St.
Mack, thanks for all the memories; your the best!
