A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC....MY GOOD FRIEND, TONY FRASCELLA, WAS PRESIDENT OF THE LEAGUE AND DID EVERYTHING INCLUDING SELLING HOT DOGS FROM THE BUILDING BEHIND HOME PLATE. TONY WAS VERY ACTIVE IN BASEBALL AND ALSO MANAGED THE STATE HIGHWAY TEAM IN THE INDUSTRIAL LEAGUE. HE AND HIS WIFE KATE LIVED ON ELMER STREET WHERE SHE WAS BORN UNTIL SHE PASSED AWAY. MAY GOD BLESS THEM AND MAY THEY REST IN PEACE. BEST REGARDS.
There were quite a few Frascella's around Trenton. I worked with Tony and Al at the "Highway Department" later to become DOT and went to TCHS with one of the girls. Al could keep a cigar going on rapid fire, so fast he looked like Ernie Kovacs leading the Nairobi Trio, he was quite good with a bowling ball too!
Hi Ralph & Anon:)
Amen. These folks made the Chambersburg Little League a local legend :)
