A Typical Burg Area Yard 1974
This was the yard of Dominick LaFranco. Burg area folks often
had very good gardening skills. We always got a ton of
tomatoes from our backyard each summer. Love them Jersey
Tomatoes :)

I'LL TELL YOU MAC, IF IT WERE'NT FOR THE YARDS, THE PEOPLE OF CHAMBERSBURG WOULD OF HAd A HARD TIME GETTING FOOD DURING THE DEPRESSION YEARS OF THE 1930'S. MY MOTHER FOUND MANY WAYS OF MAKING MEALS FROM STUFF THAT GREW IN THE YARD. SO, LET'S THANK GOD FOR THE GOOD EARTH. BEST REGARDS.
