A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Wasn't that by "Art Poulan's Garage" somehow that side of town got me confused but if you said by the hardware and garage I remembered?

The Black Bridge was in the area of the new train station in Hamilton.
Right JoeB :)
I think it was called the Bakers Basin bridge. It was pretty scary for a new driver to navigate it
Especially if you were driving a manual transmission vehicle!!
I remember it. Close to Congoleum. There was one just like it, or very similar,
over the tracks going from the Barlow Circle to the Greenwood Circle.
I recall it was a brick / stone surface and some kind of pipes going up over the sides. There's one over the tracks on Olden Avenue that still remains. ~wj2w
Use to smoke under it
