HI MAC... I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE KNOW THAT DEL RIO RESTAURANT ON HAMILTON AVE WAS BUILT WITH THE BLOCKS FROM THE STREETS WHEN THE TROLLEY TRACKS WERE REMOVED LIKE YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO ABOVE. THAT FACT CAME FROM OUR FRIEND CHARLIE DeANGELO WHOSE FAMILY RAN THE PLACE FOR MANY YEARS. REGARDS.

Ralph, when they tore up New York Avenue in about 1986, the contractor left many Belgian block behind and the city gave me permission to take them. I lined the walk of my place at Washington Crossing with them. It was like having a bit of home greeting me every day.

Hi Ralph & Skip.
Del Rio now a sports bar and they removed the logs out side and you can see those blocks now as you drive by it. Thanks for the history of it:))
