LOU WAS A REAL GENTLEMAN, AND VERY KIND. When Don Slabicki and I were kids we both had toy "Excel" silent movie projectors. Lou was always ready to let us pick up lengths of spliced 16mm movie film and even gave us a couple of damaged "Castle" news films. I think of him every time I go by his Chambers Street building.
