Mrs Kudra lived 2 doors from me on South Broad, next to where Chico's Harley Davidson originally was, before moving across the street into the old Mesaros Meat Market store. She was divored from Mr Kudra in the 40's or early 50's and banished from the family with no money or status. When married, they lived in the big beautiful colonial that sat on the corner of Broad and Park, across from Bucklad Funeral Home. That house sat vacant for decades, so she wouldn't get any money from the proceeds of the sale. She worked full time and also supported her son Nicky who had cerebral palsy, no help from the family. Also taught my mom to drive on a Plymouth Savoy, in 1956.
