Joe Battista, I think you are correct.
This is a bank branch on Chambers Street in Franklin Park.
I said it was once an Old Borough Savings and Loan. Joe
Battista said it was never an Old Borough Savings and Loan
. I think I was wrong and Joe is correct.
I had an account with Old Borough for many years. I used
to cash my checks at this bank on Chambers and often go
eat at Zips Steakhouse down the street. So in my mind I
sorta put the 2 things together. But its likely it was
just Roma Bank cashing my checks even though I didnt
have an account there.

Merry Christmas. It is just what you remember. I knew that was not Old Borough Saving and Loan because I did business for my Mother with that bank and It was United Saving and Loan. Keep up the Great information you post to this blog. The information you post and Comments bring back many fond memories of the Berg.
