360 Hamilton Avenue, The Burg
The corner of Hamilton Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.
Once upon a time this was a branch of the Broad Street
National Bank according to my records. It is currently
a Bank of America:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

When I was a kid in the early 60's, a guy was shot and killed using the night deposit at this bank. I remember seeing the chalk outline of his body in the street just off the curb on Hamilton.

Ralph can comment on this, I believe this was the site of the second Trenton High School before the bank was built.
The old THS was indeed at that location. Often on the way home from religious instruction at St. Joachim's, we would find our way in and explore the interior.
