The Roebling Factory In The 1970s
It was closed for good when these pictures were taken
in the late 1970s. This is South Clinton Avenue in
the Burg. No Roebling Factory and no Burg the way
we all loved it. It brought many of our Burg
ancestors here:)

HI MAC..IN DEFENSE OF MY GRANDFATHER, I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A COMMENT REGARDING ROEBLING. HE WAS READY TO RETIRE AFTER MANY YEARS THERE AND THEY LAID HIM OFF WITHOUT A PENSION OR HELP OF ANY KIND. THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY UNIONS BEGAN TO ORGANIZE. I WAS TOLD THIS STORY MANY TIMES BY MY PARENTS. BEST REGARDS
