HAMILTON -- Milan Matusek, 86, passed away Saturday surrounded by his family at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Holic, Czechoslovakia on Feb. 1, 1920, he immigrated to the United States in 1949 with his family. Mr. Matusek was the owner of Stacy Beef Butcher Shop in Trenton. He was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Mr. Matusek was also a member of the German American Society and the Slovak Farmer's Club.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie Matusek of Hamilton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Viera and John H. Vana and Helena and Joseph E. Westdyk; his grandchildren Jennifer Vana, Stephanie and her husband, Brian Matusz, and Lorelei Vana and her fiance William Whartenby; his special nephew Paul Matusek and his wife, Anna; and other nieces and nephews.
