The Burg. This store was opened by Mr Morabito in
the year 1922 according to what I read about it:)

WE HAD OUR STORE AT 123 MOTT STREET JUST ABOUT THE SAME TIME IN THE EARLY 20'S. MY MOTHER RAN THE STORE AND MOST OF THE PEOPLE WOULD CHARGE THEIR PURCHASE AND MANY NEVER PAID UP. I RECALL IT DID'NT LAST LONG. BEST REGARDS
Ralph, I "had a book" at the local sporting goods but always paid up. When I came out of the Navy I stopped to say hello and she (Ronnie at Brunswick Sports), asked me about a dead beat former classmate who ran a huge tab. The fellow was a professional too so it makes me scratch my head why they would do that? I ended up with him on the phone one day cut it short with him years later.
