Burg Area Notes For Today

Edmund L. Wroblewski was born in Poland and came to the United
States in 1922 and lived in Trenton and Ewing before moving
to Yardville. He retired in 1986 from the Mercer County
Vocational-Technical School, Assumpink Center on Old Trenton
Road, after 13 years of service. Prior to that, he worked
with the American Standard Co. for 25 years. He owned the
Embers Bar on Liberty and Adeline Streets in South Trenton
for 10 years.

Angelo M. ''Charlie'' Ricciardelli was born in Atlantic
Highlands, he was a longtime area resident and lived in
Monroe five years. He owned Dayton Food Market in Trenton,
retiring in 1976 after 30 years. He was an Army veteran of
World War II and attended the University of Alabama. He
was a member of the Fermi Federation.

Maurice G. Rizziello was born in Trenton, he was a life-long
Trenton area resident. Mr. Rizziello was a U.S. Navy veteran
of World War II. He owned and operated Maurice's Amoco on
Chambers Street, Maurice's Philip 66, Broad Street, and
Maurices's Texaco, Broad Street, for over 40 years until
his retirement in 1980.

Claire (Rena) Eisenbeil was born in Trenton, she resided in
the area all her life. She owned and operated the Lalor Food
Market for many years and worked as an office assistant for
various employers. Daughter of the late Angelo and Matilda
Loiali Bernabei, widow of John Eisenbeil.

Ruth Solan Burkert was born in Trenton, she lived in Ortley
Beach before moving to Whiting in 1984. Mrs. Burkert taught
in the Trenton public schools. She retired as principal from
Carroll Robbins School, Trenton, in 1979, after 35 years.
She was a graduate of Trenton State College, and received a
master of arts degree from Columbia University.
