5 Stores in Downtown Trenton in 1975 Day

5 Stores in Downtown Trenton in 1975 Day

I am sure many Burg area people of the eras previous
to mine knew these stores and as Quakerbridge Mall
brings back nice memories for me I hope these do
for all of you good folks who remember these.
Hope you like em:)

Great stores each and every one Mack, there was and still is a men's shop on North Broad St. called Byers, it was there when I was going to high school, use to buy our high boy collar shirts there. We need a picture of Planter's Peanut Store.

Good one JoeZ, I forgot about the "high boys" and all the while Mom was dragging me into "Eton" next door to get me into an "Oxford" button down. Flagg Brothers for shoes was out of the question. They acted like we were going to get into Eton, Oxford or Princeton if we just wore something?

I think I hid the motorcycle boots I got from Flaggs for a week before they found them. I sold my "stiletto" and a pile of ball cards to buy those.

Hi Joe and Skip.
Old newspapers are unindexed so there is no way to find specific items, its like going fishing, throw the line out and hope you catch something nice. Glad you liked this:)

Joe just wants that so he can do a voice over of Ernie Kovacs. I swore I remembered him at Planters but with those dates there was no way I could have.

:)

My girlfriends Mom said she was his girl in school but I bet there were a few that made that claim.

HI TOM...WOULD YOU BELIEVE MY SISTER LAW WAS A BABY SISTER FOR ERNIE KOVACS WHEN THEY LIVED ON GENESEE STREET IN THE 20'S.

He must have been a handful Ralph. I pictured a toddler with a cigar and Slavic mustache running amok.
