Revere Avenue on a Summer Afternoon, Villa Park

Revere Avenue on a Summer Afternoon, Villa Park
I had a friend who lived on Revere Avenue and I
often wound up over there prior to heading over
to Trenton High or toward Trenton High:)

HI MAC...REVERE AVE WAS MY FAVORITE STREET IN VILLA PARK. IT WAS WHERE WE ALL MET TO DECIDE WHAT'S GOING ON. IT WAS THE ONLY STREET IN VILLA PARK THAT WAS PAVED AT THE TIME. WE WERE ABLE TO ROLLER SKATE AND MEET AT THE DELI ON THE CORNER. THE TRENTON TRANSIT BUS ALSO STOPPED THERE. WE PLAYED BASKETBALLL AT THE CORNER OF COLUMBUS AND ROEBLING. WE HAD TO TOE THE LINE CAUSE THE TRENTON CHIEF OF POLICE O'ROURKE ALSO LIVED ON THAT CORNER. MY CLOSE FRIEND FRED DeBRONZO BUILT HIS HOUSE ON REVERE AVE. WITH A LOT OF THE MATERIAL FROM THE OLD TRENTON HIGH THAT WAS TORN DOWN IN THE 30'S. WE EVENTUALLY FORMED A CLUB CALLED THE VILLA PARK SOCIAL CLUB AND USED IT FOR MAZNY SPORTS. IT WAS A TIME DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION THAT WORKED OUT FINE. BEST REGARDS.
