HI MAC...WETZEL FIELD IN 1936. WAS THAT A BIG YEAR FOR ME. I WAS AMONG THOSE SELECTED BY JAKE MILLER TO PLAY FOR THE SCHROTHS THAT YEAR AND WETZEL FIELD HAD A LOT TO DO WITH IT. BEING IN THE NEIGHBOORHOOD, I WAS THERE EVERY DAY SHAGGING BALLS BEFORE EVERY GAME AND GETTING A LOT OF ADVISE FROM OLDER PLAYERS THAT HELPED A LOT. IT ALSO HELPED MY BROTHER "CHUCK" WHO ALSO PLAYED WITH THE SCHROTHS AND WAS ON THE 1948 WORLD SERIES AMERICAN LEGION CHAMPIONS. BEST REGARDS.

Is that a space ship hovering over that house?

I expected to zoom in on a game of baseball and well I guess that was a soccer game in progress?

Did the field have a fence in outfield back then? Also, were the houses that seperate the field from Chambers Street there at that time? I heard that Babe Ruth hit a ball over Chambers Street.
