The Feast of Lights 1953
Thank you for this great picture Dennis Bush.
The feast began near the beginning of the 1900s and after
a pause of a few years returned in the mid 1970s and was
a part of my Burg era until it ended in the early 2000s.

HI MAC...I BELIEVE WHAT ENDED THE FEAST ON BUTLER ST. WAS THE FIREWORKS THAT SCARDONE SET UP. THE NOISE WAS TOO GREAT FOR THE PEOPLE IN ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL. THEY WERE SHOT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND MADE A DEAFENING NOISE. I CAN RECALL AS A KID HOW FRIGHTENING THAT WAS. REGARDS.

The crazy fireworks were still a part of the Feast in my Burg day and I am smiling as I read your comment..Fun days long ago:)
