If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC...TRIONFETTI'S, CHICK & NELLO'S, AND PETE LORENZO'S WERE THE TOP THREE ITALIAN RESTAURANTS DURING MY BURG TIME. GRECCO'S ON MORRIS AVE WAS ALSO HIGHLY REGARDED AMONG CHAMBERSBURG DINERS. THE ITALIAN - AMERICAN SPORTSMAN CLUB HAD A SPECIAL MENU FOR THE TRAP SHOOTERS. THOSE WERE THE DAYS THAT TRENTON WAS NOTED FOR THEIR MANY OUTSTANDING RESTAURANTS. GOD BLESS THE BURG OF OLD. BEST REGARDS
Hi Ralph:)
I think Chick & Nello's still remains in business to this very day. Pete Lorenzo's lasted til like last year:)
Amici's was a regular Saturday night dinner spot when I lived in NJ. I remember it as Bobby V's too.
Crecco's was a huge favorite too. I loved their seasoned chicken.
The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
As I often said, Trionfetti's was a second home to my family. As a kid I remember going there 2-3 times a week. I remember the old Trionfetti's before the renovation ( probably in the 50's) when the bar was long and to the right when you walked in and the floor was little black and white tiles. My Dad and Franky Triofetti were friends and I remember Franky's father (old man Trionfetti) at the restaurant. Franky lived across the street from the restaurant, till he moved to Yardley in the 60's. I recall going to a BBQ at the Yardley house, this was shortly after Franky was shot in the soulder by a robber of his vending machine business.
My Dad and his buds ( George Kramer - Trenton bagle king) Dick Tindell ( the car guy who threw me the keys to his new 1957 Thunderbird convertable and said "take it for a spin" knowing I didn't have a license.
Those were the days!!!
There a whole bunch of more stories to tell about those days!
