The Hamilton-Chambers Shopping Village, Hamilton Avenue, The Burg

The Hamilton-Chambers Shopping Village, Hamilton Avenue,
The Burg

This should be most familiar for my fellow Trenton High
Alumni from the Burg area who likely walked past it
both ways the entire school year for 3 years. Can you
remember the names of the stores and shops that were
there in your days? God Bless The Old Burg:)

UPDATE

HI MAC...THAT AREA OF THE BURG WAS MY HOME FOR MANY
YEARS. ALL THROUGH EARLY AND HIGH SCHOOL. IT SURE
LOOKS THE SAME AFTER ALL THESE YEARS AND BRINGS BACK
MANY HAPPY DAYS. BACK IN THOSE DAYS THERE WAS
TRIPP'S GARAGE WHICH LATTER BECAME BOND'S ELECTRIC
AND ONLY A FEW MINOR OTHER CHANGES. THE BIG CHANGE
WAS ROMA SAVINGS WHERE MY HAMILTON SCHOOL WAS
LOCATED. OF COURSE THE PARK THEATRE AND CASINO
HOT DOGS WERE THERE THEN. I CAN STILL HEAR THE
TROLLEYS ON HAMILTON AVE. AND REMEMBER WHEN TRENTON
HIGH WAS JUST CALLED RIBSON FIELD. REGARDS.

I grew up on the first block of Anderson St.in the 50&60's . . . What a great place for a kid to grow up. . .(At least back then). I have alot of wonderful memories. I can still hear the voices, see the faces and smell the great food that everyone was cooking.
