HI MAC.....THOSE PORCHES IN THE BURG WERE EVERYTHING. ON HOT NIGHTS WE SLEEPT OUT THERE AND THEY ALL HAD ROCKERS FOR NEIGHBORS TO TELL THEIR PROBLEMS AND LISTEN TO THE RADIO. MY MOTHER SPENT MORE TIME WITH THE NEIGHBORS THAN SHE DID AT HOME. SOMETHING WAS ALWAYS GOING ON AND EVERYONE SEEMED TO BE INVOLVED. THE MEMORY OF THOSE DAYS WILL ALWAYS LINGER. BEST REGARDS.

Hi Joez & Ralph:)

The Porch time was typically after supper to right before NJ Lottery
at 755 PM (AKA HELA YOUNG) for many..others would linger til 10 PM:)

Wow Ralph, sleeping out on the porch must have been an earler Burg custom. Its all good:)
