Liberty Street Beneath Spring Skies, The Burg.

Liberty Street Beneath Spring Skies, The Burg.
This picture was taken from the corner of Chambers Street
and Liberty Street as Liberty Street leaves Villa Park
and becomes The Burg. Our Home was a few blocks from here
near Hewitt Street. The first words that come to my mind
when I see this picture are "almost home now".
God Bless The Ole Burg:)

HI MAC....I REMEMBER THAT CORNER WHEN AN A & P STORE WAS THERE AND MY BARBER WAS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET AND ASHBRAND'S WAS ON THE NEXT CORNER AND I WOULD MEET MY GIRL FRIEND IN THE YEAR 1940. WE WERE MARRIED THAT YEAR AND HAD THE RECEPTION AT 13 HOWELL ST, RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER OF YOUR HOUSE ON LIBERTY ST. IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY AND HERE IT IS 70 YEARS LATTER AND MY WIFE HAS PASSED AWAY ALONG WITH MOST OF MY FRIENDS AND I'M THE LAST OF THE CHAMBERSBURG LUCARELLA'S. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR MANY PHOTOS AND EVENTS OF THE BURG. MAY GOD BLESS US ALL.

Hi Ralph:)
Thanks for all that you have done to make this blog better with all of your memories and reflections, what a great place the Burg was.
God bless you and your family.
You are the best:)

Liberty Street like so many other streets in the Burg area still looks in many ways like it always did so pictures give us great memories but the real greatness of the Burg was the people:)
