Help Fund This Site/Tip Jar
I have no grants from local historical societies or organisations.
If you value what we do here and want to help
please do so. Any amount large or small appreciated.
If you cannot afford it, do not send me anything.
Remember ours is not just a site based on observations
sitting at a desk, although I love those sites too, I
actively seek material thru trips to the Burg and local
libraries and massive internet searchs and other data
sources.
THE TIME TO DO THIS IS NOW
There is a chance we may have to suspend operations on
this blog in the next few weeks if we cannot find the
funds to continue it. If we cant find the funds we
shall return but it may take a while. I would like
to thank all the good people who have helped make
this fun. Its nice to have walked down Burg memory
lane with you. Just adding that now in case we go
down for a while.

How about setting up a Chip In account? That makes it easy for people to donate online. I work in animal rescue and I've used it for small fundraisers with great success.

Just wondering, how much per year does this blog cost?
I dont know. I don't add the costs all up ever. All the trips back and fourth to the Burg and local libraries. getting copies of this and that. Sometimes using pay internet sites for ancestry and news items. Purchasing occasional
books that are relivent such as city directories or other items that I think of along the way. I have had 3 fund drives since November 2008 when the blog began.
I just need it to sorta break even:)
I wont become Donald Trump with
blog money..but its nice to be appreciated now and then for the efforts that go into this.
