Where That Noel Sign Once Hung
This is the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Chambers Street
on Christmas Day 2010. In case you were wondering if they
hang that Noel sign up anymore the answer is no. I do not
know who hung up those decorations. Was it the City of
Trenton or the local shopkeepers? It was a nice tradition
and they should start it again:)

Mack, it looks cold, dark and empty without those decorations.
MY MOM WORKED AT THE BANK ACROSS THE STREET AND MY BROTHER "CHUCK' WAS A DOCTOR AT SAINT FRANCIS, SO I WAS VERY FAMILAR WITH THAT SECTION OF THE BURG. REGARDS.
I was just thinking about that sign this weekend. We used to drive through that part of Hamilton Avenue to get to St. Joachim's school.

Hi JoeZ Ralph & Jerry.
When I hit the lottery and buy the Burg the signs come back LOL.
PS
I DID find an old newspaper picture of the NOEL sign but sadly it would not come out decently on the printer..but I will continue to look for a picture:)
I believe the NOEL sign over the street was a project of the business association there.
I'm sure the local businesses chipped in and provided the street decoratiions. And I'm sure Storky and Eddie Baldassari were behind it. There was also another NOEL sign at the Roma Savings corner (Washington-Anderson and Hamilton)
My kind of town...!
Less sure, but the man behind the decorations was the man who bought out Maury Robinson's clothing store, Ralph Lamachia.
I shopped at Maury Robinson's when he was located on S. Broad St across from Van Sciver's. I believe the new owner was Roger Lamanchia. Some other favorite men's shops I frequented were, Holland Bros and Havenson's. All of the owners were gentleman and would ask you to pick out something you liked as a birthday gift from them. Those were the days!
