Hi Mack: Another reminder of the delicious products
of Barbaro's Bakety. I mentioned that my sister
worked there for some time and I had many
opportunites to enjoy the bread and Italian style
pasteries they made. My cousin From Casandrino,
Italy also lived on Conrad St.

Mack or Ralph: Was Colonial Bakery on Conrad St., they had the best little torpedo rolls or dinner rolls, not like those softy things they have down here.
Hi JoeZ:)
New Colonial was on Hudson. Barbero's is Conrad Street and note
Barbero's were the rolls Zips Steakhouse used. I agree New Colonial had the best rolls in its day:)
....COLONIAL WAS ON HUDSON ST. FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS OUR FAVORITE BAKERY FOR A LONG TIME. THE OWNER MARRIED A GIOVENETTI GIRL WHO WAS OUR NEIGHBOR ON BERT AVE. IN THE 1930'S. REGARDS.
