.....I MIGHT ADD, FOR THOSE WHO WONDER HOW I WAS ABLE TO AFFORD THOSE TRIPS. OUR DAUGHTER LORRAINE, WORKED FOR DELTA AIRLINES AND WE GOT FREE PASSES EACH YEAR. SHE WAS WITH THEM FOR 15 YEARS AND AFTER I RETIRED FROM THE POST OFFICE IN 1980 AND WAS ABLE TO TRAVEL MORE, SHE LEFT DELTA TO RAISE HER KIDS.
Ralph, I'm glad you had the opportunity to visit Casandrino and see the church and do all that traveling. God Bless and take care and keep writing and traveling.

Ralph, it's so great that you got to visit family like that. I just learned the names of the villages of my Polish grandparents last week. "Pop" was 102 when he passed twenty years ago and he and my Mom went back twice but in later years could not recall the names.
I would have loved to make that connection.
My father in law worked for a large company and we got to use his frequent flier miles a few times. Having family like that is a real treat. The fellow who taught me to fly was a Delta L-1011 check captain. Ah, those were dream jobs.

....THE MADONNA DiCASANDRINO WAS THE SUBJECT OF THE FEAST OF LIGHTS ON BUTLER STREET. THERE WERE MANY OTHER FEASTIVALS, INCLUDING ONE ON PAUL AVE. IN NORTH TRENTON AND OTHERS IN NEW YORK AND ELSEWHERE THAT HONORED OTHERS.
