Saint Joachims, An Interior View, The Burg

Saint Joachims, An Interior View, The Burg
The Catholic Church here in the Burg for most of its
Italian days and beyond. Still Magnificent after all
of these years:)

Mack,
Seeing this picture immediately made me sit up straighter in case a nun was lurking behind me!
Is that a baptismal font in the middle there? I just remember when it was all pews.
Does anyone else remember when some kid would swear he/she saw the statues move? I guess we'd all stare at the statues so hard that it seemed like they did move.

Hi Angela:)
My family were part of the other
big Burg Catholic church Immaculate. And we would often go to sunday 6PM mass. For years I had
religious instruction at Immaculate because I went to public
school. If I didnt show up for religious instruction the Nun who
taught it might be there and thus
I could get my butt kicked by both
Mom and the Nun similtaniously, thus I had to be a good boy LOL:)

I attended religious classes for both Holy Communion and Confirmation at St Joachims...still have the welts on the back of my hands to prove it!!
Anyone remember the "clicker" used by the nuns to signal us to kneel and stand?
