Monday October 8, 1956...afternoon...right there on the
ramp you show in the pic...Mr Deptula's shop class....
doors of the shop wide open...ramp filled with students
and a couple of teachers....radio blaring out, "...and
he has done it, Don Larsen has pitched a perfect game
and the New York Yankees beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 2 to
0.". Mantle hit a homer in this game. I will never
forget that day...thanks for the picture to bring it
all back.
