Anthony D. Maiuro was born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area
resident. Mr. Maiuro was the owner and operator of Mario's
Restaurant in Chambersburg for 22 years. A U.S. Army veteran
of World War II, he was a former member of the Cement
Finishers and Masons Local No. 9 and a member of the Italian
American Sportsmen Club.
Clara J. Blank Carr was born in Trenton, Mrs. Carr was a
lifelong city resident. For 18 years, she co- owned and operated
Clara and Russ's Bar and Restaurant in Trenton with her husband.
Geno ''Jerry'' Greco was born in Calabria, Italy, Mr. Greco owned
Geno Shoe Service in the Chambersburg section of Trenton for 53
years.He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the
Pacific.
Phyllis Ann Mostrangeli Forrester was born in Trenton.Mrs.
Forrester owned and operated LaPetite Beauty Salon in the
Chambersburg section of Trenton, retiring in 1992 after 35 years.
Marie Gilmore Weigand was born in Trenton. Mrs. Weigand with her
late husband, Frederick J. Weigand, owned Asbrand Hardware in the
Chambersburg section of Trenton. She was also a registered nurse
and a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Class
of 1931 and Trenton High School.
Anthony P. Povia was born and raised in Trenton. A retiree from
General Motors Fisher Body Division in West Trenton, he previously
owned and operated a service station in Chambersburg for many
years.An avid golfer, he was a member of the Yardley Country Club
for over 40 years. In his youth he played basketball and football
for Trenton High, and also played for the local Santuzza Oilers
football team. More recently, he was an active member of the PEAC
fitness center. Anthony was a member of the Junior #4 Alumni
Association and the Trenton High School 1948 Reunion Committee.
