Hi Mac....It seems I recall the time whwn Fairmount Ave. got a lot of publicy when a police officer was shot. I beleive it was in the 30s, when boot legging was going on throughout the city. I think a guy by the name of Cook was convicted at the time. Otherwise, Villa Park was a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Regards.
